You have been referred to an allergist because you have - or may have – Asthma and/or Allergies. Your primary care physician who referred you, wants you to receive the most experienced asthma and allergy care.

An Allergist is a physician who has advanced training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and allergies. We will work with you to determine whether you have asthma, hay fever or other allergy related conditions, how severe they may be, the factors that can trigger an episode or attack, and a treatment plan to eliminate or control your symptoms. We also specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of other problems like: sinusitis, skin disorders (Urticaria-Hives, Eczema), food allergy, and immune system disorders.

When you visit us, you can expect us to:

• Take a detailed medical and environmental history
• Ask you about your symptoms, how often they occur and what triggers them
• Perform a thorough physical examination
• Perform special tests such as spirometry to measure lung function
• Allergy tests to determine potential allergy triggers
• Additional tests if needed may include sinus and/or chest x-rays or blood tests
